Meet the Artist ~
Festival FamCam is owned and operated by Nathaniel Burk.
Nate founded this platform with a desire to share moments he had captured through his work, in addition to his own experiences throughout this journey.
Raised in the suburbs of Phoenix, Arizona, he had always taken interest in digital media and had a flair for artistic expression. Following high school, he attended university for cinema production before promptly dropping out only a semester later. From here, he sought out the structure of the military, and his creative side took a back seat for a while…
Now, nearly ten years on, something (or someone) reawakened this part of his soul, and he has rediscovered his love for the arts.
Because of this, he pours this passion into his work both as a bartender, and budding photographer…
A moment for the Camera rig ~
The model I am currently shooting on is a Sony A7C II
This is the compact version of Sony’s full frame, mirrorless camera body
I am currently shooting with a 50mm “nifty fifty” Sony e-mount prime lens
For Lighting, I have a SmallRig Vibe P96 Pro. Perfect for quick, on the go lighting needs!
For Audio, I am currently using a Movo VXR10 Shotgun mic… it gets the job done for now
The Wish List ~
The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo - $600
This is a NEED, not a want. I need this kit to have a 4k capture device, that is compact, and allowed into festivals and venues.
This miracle device is a pocket sized 4k camera, a gimbal stabilizer, with horizontal/vertical transition that really brings the idea of “point and shoot” into reality..
The kit comes with all of the following features as well:
DJI Lavalier Mic 2 & Transmitter attachment
Battery Extender handle
Mini Tripod
Wide angle lens filter
Hardened Carrying Kit and Travel Bag
The GoPro Max 360 Bundle - $600
This one is more of a want, than a need. This camera would allow me to get some amazing POV footage, and high, wide angle shots of crowds and production during each set. It would also help a lot with Behind-the-Scenes footage, and in creating my own content. Overall, just a very fun camera to have in my tool kit. Go Pros are another pocket sized camera that are allowed in festivals.
