Phx Lights: Solar Soundsystem

One of the Valley’s most electrifying traditions under the desert sky is back and bigger than ever. PHX LIGHTS: Solar Soundsystem, the alien-inspired electronic dance music festival by Arizona powerhouse Relentless Beats, returned Friday and Saturday, April 4th and 5th, at Rawhide Event Center in Chandler, AZ—and this year marked a major milestone: PHX LIGHTS’ 10th anniversary.

First launched in 2015 to honor the legendary Phoenix Lights UFO sighting of 1997, the festival has since become a signature event in the Southwest’s dance music scene, known for its cosmic stage design, immersive production, and out-of-this-world vibes. Fittingly, this year's "Solar Soundsystem" theme channeled deep space energy and interstellar grooves, celebrating a decade of dancefloor moments with a next-level lineup.

Headliners like Rezz, NGHTMRE, Louis the Child, Kaivon, and more took over the desert with pulsating bass and celestial beats, joined by a stacked roster of local DJs and producers spread across two nights.  Three incredible stages, UFO-inspired art installations, dazzling visuals, and a high-energy crowd ready to beam up.

From alien aesthetics to futuristic soundscapes, PHXLIGHTS: Solar Soundsystem was an out of this world 10-year celebration of sound, light, and community—proving once again that the truth (and the bass) is out there.
